Burchfield Penney
October is a busy month! First, the Burchfield Penney is in need of a program for their upcoming FRUITION gala event. The program is going to be a 56 page booklet and be both the program for the evening as well as the guide for the live and silent auctions. The work is a collaborative effort between Crowley & Webb, Brian Grunert of White Bicycle, and [re]noun creative.

Several more projects are happening, including a corporate training seminar Dan Wangelin of [re]noun creative is teaching, a new logo for the West Side Community Collaborative (WSCC), and some work for Xerox. More about all of these coming soon.

Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo Harvest Celebration

This year's poster for Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo Harvest Celebration is out. Look for it around town, and be sure to check out the event.

The image was illustrated and designed by [re]noun creative's Dan Wangelin. Its a mixed media illustration on wood, then reproduced and finished digitally.

The event is sure to be a hit. Grassroots Gardens will be featuring several attractions, including a raffle give-away of some great door prizes, garden sculptures, recipe giveaways featuring dishes that can be made from garden-grown produce, and of course all you can eat hors d'oeuvres and drinks.

Special thanks to Chakra Communications for their help with reproduction and printing.

Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo

Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo is a non-profit organization committed to helping disenfranchised neighborhoods establish community gardens. These gardens foster community involvement and interest, allow low-income families access to fresh produce, and help to beautify the area.
[re]noun creative created these business cards for its staff and board members.

The cards are shaped like plant tags, and are void of any name so that they can be universally used by anyone in the organization. Anyone using the cards writes their name on the card with a pen or marker, similar to how a name of a plant is written on a tag, thus adding to the look.

The Engines of Growth are areas of focus that Xerox uses to grow their business. Each poster communicates the goal, necessary actions, and the result each Engine will produce. Eight posters were created and featured in English, Spanish, and Portuguese for a total of 24 pieces. See the posters in the work section.

Buffalo ReUse signs are in!

We've just received the signs back from the printer for Buffalo ReUse! Besides designing all the signage, we're also going to install it for this non-profit's new retail location.

The modular signs, designed to be easily and affordably updated as hours/info changes, were created to direct customers to entrances from the various directions they might approach. Included in this package are three "sandwich shop style" (aka A-frames) that actually incorporate salvaged material from houses.

More pics to come soon of the building and installation process, check back soon!
