Cave-aged wines: a rich winemaking legacy, a new adventure
DRNK Winery was founded in 2012 by winemaker Ryan Kunde and partners – wife Katie, and her parents Dale and Nancy Dougherty. DRNK represents the family’s initials – Dale, Ryan, Nancy, Katie, and the collective joy of working and being together.
Located in the heart of the Russian River Valley, DRNK Winery is home to a beautiful 300 foot wine cave; this is where the wine is cellared and private tours and tastings are held.
Having previously worked with another agency to develop their brand identity, DRNK turned to Renoun to continue the branding work. Using the existing wine bottle labels and shippers as a starting point, we built upon and expanded the branding through an updated website and specialty print pieces.
How We Helped
DRNK Wines appeals to wine lovers who appreciate wines produced by new companies for whom winemaking is a passion. Ryan, the winemaker, takes great pride in showcasing the quality and diversity of Sonoma County’s vineyards. It was essential to us that the new website clearly demonstrate the family’s passion for winemaking and commitment to working together.
We also wanted to make sure it was simple for site visitors to get to the wine profiles and understand the uniqueness of each varietal. The straightforward navigation makes it easy for the visitor to learn about the wines, place an order, sign up for their wine club or book a tasting at the winery.
Integrating the winery’s existing scalable and responsive eCommerce platform, Vinespring, with the new website was a must. We developed a time efficient and cost effective solution to tie the two together, creating an easy and enjoyable online wine shopping experience.
From there we designed the graphics for business cards, tasting notes, outreach cards, shelf talkers, bi-annual wine club brochures and even road signs! Each piece features DRNK’s distinctive brand elements, tying together every piece of communication.
